I'm So Sorry, But...

While attending a science-fiction writer's meeting, I learned that posting something on the internet (this blog, for an example,) counts as publishing. Given the preference of most publishing corporations to only purchase previously-unpublished material, I will not be posting excerpts from The Visitor. Sorry, but it's a critical move to make.

Chapter I: Prelude is undergoing editing. Rest assured, the finished product will be much better and polished to a much higher degree. I'm sorry for the temporary inconvenience.

A Look Around

Since the interface of this blog is a little cluttered, I thought I'd give any potential viewers a tour.

The mysterious text-entry bar on the top of the page is for submitting your email. You can discover this for yourself by hitting the submit button. Submitting your email will subscribe you to the blog. Go ahead if you want to!

The novel's completed chapters are listed in the top right-hand corner, followed by the blog's followers. Beneath that is the current poll. Please, feel free to participate in it, as it grows more interesting the more replies it receives. Underneath the poll is a list of the blog's most popular posts. Check here for whatever is most attention-grabbing for the other viewers. Another followers bar lies beneath the popular posts, this one with an image display of the current followers. The blog archive, which can be used to visit old posts, is directly underneath that, and at the very bottom of the tower is my personal profile.

The bottom of the page features numerous things. The total number of page views the blog has received is the first to come, featuring a graph and a number to represent the quantity and its changes.

Beneath the pageview counter is, to the left, another list of completed chapters in the book and, to the right, hyperlinked labels that will take you to all posts featuring the selected label. For example, this post features the label "guide", so selecting "guide" from the list will display this post.

So, look around with new eyes! Now that you know what everything does, experiment a little, and try out all of the blog's features. Enjoy!

Excerpts Are Coming...

Those who have read the "Welcome" post may be wondering where the promised excerpts are. Let me assure you, they are coming. I just want to finish Part I before I start sending them out. They'll be here soon!

Progress Update #3

Well, Chapter V: Epitome is nearing completion, and with it Part I. Part II should begin somewhere around page 70, bringing with it the start of a massive war between all of humanity and a single, otherworldly individual. Character descriptions have been added for people in need of them, and numerous (though not nearly all present) proofreading errors have been corrected.

Chapter IV is finished! Chapter V, Epitome, begins on page 49 with a little bit of well-needed recuperation.
